Description
Cabo de Gata is one of the most spectacular volcanic geoparks on the whole peninsula. Isolated coves, spectacular extinct volcanic cones, history and culture are the common thread of our excursions. Despite its aridity, we will discover a surprising vegetation and fauna, which will make us discover many corners of this natural park.
DAY 1
LA MOLATA, GOLD MINES AND PIRATES (BLACK RODALQUILAR)
The light that will accompany us on this hike from the old gold mines to the coast where we will find a coast where we will find fossils between the spectacular whitening cliffs between the Playazo and the Blacks.

DAY 3
SAN JOSÉ IN LOS ESCULLOS

Between these two places of particular interest, we will be able to climb to the highest peak of the park, the Pico de los Frailes, from where we will have a 360-degree view of the whole park with the incredible backdrop of the Mediterranean.
DAY 4
MAJADA REDONDA CALDERA
Spectacular excursion inside a fully defined volcanic caldera, where we can also climb up to the volcanic cone and then descend to one of the most spectacular viewpoints of Cabo de Gata, the viewpoint of La Amatista .
DAY 5
EL ARGAMASÓN
Path of the river alias, spectacular circular route through one of the most curious landscapes of Cabo de Gata, with a canyon area dug in one of the wadis of Almeria. The unusual vegetation and the many shelters offered by the rocky area are home to an abundance of animal life. This trail is remarkable because it almost follows the only river that has surface water in the Cabo de Gata-Nijar Natural Park.
