Carros de Foc is a mountain route of circular route which joins the 9 mountain shelters inside the Aigües Tortes i Estany de Sant Maurici National Park.

Over the years, the route has become the great classic of the Pyrenees, an essential place for all lovers of the mountains and only the spectacular beauty of these landscapes is responsible for this year after year thousands of people travel their paths crown their mountains.

To make the basic tour of Carros de Foc, you will need between 5 and 7 days.

The Transpirenaica is an extraordinary road almost 800 km long between the Mediterranean Sea and the Cantabrian Sea along the southern slope of the Pyrenees.

The route was approved as a long distance trail - the GR 11 - in 1985 and since then many hikers around the world have trekked these mountains following the popular white and red signs for these trails. Of all the Transpirenaica, 375 km pass through Catalonia and 40 km through Andorra. During our journey from the Mediterranean environment of Cap de Creus - source of inspiration of geniuses of Salvador Dalí's stature - to the spectacular high mountain of Aigüestortes and Estany de Sant Maurici national park, each stage becomes an experience unique and unforgettable!

DURATION MAY VARY DEPENDING ON GROUP AVAILABILITY.

The crossing, of 120 kilometers and seven stages, crosses the Natural Park of the Western Valleys, in Huesca, and part of the Pyrenees National Park, in France, connecting shelters or lodges. These are routes without technical difficulty, but with steep slopes, which require a walking habit and adequate equipment to cope with cold, rain or fog when they occur. The route offers the possibility of swimming in lakes of glacial origin, such as Estanés or Arlet, to be surprised by the contrast between the arid landscape on the Spanish side and the lush French slope, to see wild animals - crawling, sarrios , groundhogs, otters and Pyrenean frogs - and share experiences with other walkers every night.

It covers a large part of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and unix more than 20 Roman monuments, and transcends between the coasts of 800 m. from La Pobla de Lillet and els 2,520 m. de la Tosa d'Alp.

In this 115 km trek, divided into 6 mountain stages, we can connect the valleys of Benasque, Castanesa, Barrabes, Val d´Aran, Artiga de Lin and in France the Vallée de la Frèche. Crown some of the most famous mountain passes in the Pyrenees such as the Port of Vielha or the Portillón de Benasque, ports steeped in history such as the cities we will know and where we will have the opportunity to rest in comfortable accommodation .

Also known as the Mediterranean Way, the path runs along the Catalan coast through 31 stages and 560 kilometers. While walking there, we will take advantage of the enormous diversity of the Catalan coast. We will travel from small coves to long sandy beaches, passing incredible cliffs or precious natural areas such as the Cap de Creus Natural Park or the Aiguamolls de l'Empordà. The path also passes through most of the massifs of the Catalan coastal chain: Collserola, Montnegre and Corredor, La Conreria or Garraf, among others. During the sections along the sea, mainly in the section of the Costa Brava, it takes advantage of all types of coastal paths, among which stands out the original round road. Roads that historically skirted the entire coast, mainly used by the police to monitor contraband tobacco, and fishermen and sailors to go fishing or in the event of a wreck.
